This documentation is for “Pro News Ticker Layout” Plugin.
We will show you what does it do and how you could use it. This document covers the installation and use of this plugin and reveals answers to common problems and issues - I encourage you to read this document if you are experiencing any difficulties.
Installation
There are two methods to install the theme.
a : Installing from Wordpress
b : Installing Via FTP Server
If the normal installation method (a) is not supported by your web host, you will have to use the alternate option (b).
Installing from WordPress
Follow the steps below to install inside WordPress:
- Login to WordPress Admin and browse to Plugins > Add New and click Upload Plugin and in new page click .
- Click on Chosen File. Browse your computer to select "PW-Pro-News-Ticker-For-VC.zip" (it's in the zip file you downloaded from Codecanyon). Click "Install Now" button.
- Wait while the plugin is uploaded and installed.
- Once it's uploaded, click the Activate Plugin link.
Installing via FTP Server
Follow the steps below to install via FTP:
- Log into your hosting space via an FTP software.
- Unzip the "PW-Pro-News-Ticker-For-VC.zip" file and ONLY use the extracted plugin folder.
- Upload the extracted plugin folder into wp-content/plugins folder.
- Activate the newly installed plugin. Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and find "PW Pro News Ticker For Visual Composer" plugin and active it.
The Plugin Description
After Install and Activate this plugin. There is added a new category to Visual Composer popup named "Pw Pro Post Layout".
You can find "PW Pro News Ticker" shortcode icon on this category.
On shortcode form you see 5 tabs describe below:
1- Ticker Source
You can set Ticker Source in this tab.
- Ticker Source : First of all, you should choose the type of source. There are 3 types of source for ticker:
- Build Query : Make your custom query to read your data from WP posts and custom posts.
After choosing this option you must select your query base. There are 4 query bases here:
- Customize Query: : with selecting this you can filter your query by any category and tag and taxonomy on build query section.
Note: Filter box dosn't display in this type.
- Category : with selecting this you can just select category on build query section.
- Tag : with selecting this you can just select tag on build query section.
- Taxonomy : with selecting this you can just select taxonomy on build query section. this is useful for reading custom posts.
- Author : with selecting this you can just select author on build query section. this is useful for show author posts on ticker.
Build Query : You can choose data source(post,custom post,page,...),number of items and order by. Then you can filter them by category,Taxs and ...
- Choose data source Select post types to populate posts from. Note: If no post type is selected, WordPress will use default "Post" value.
- Post Count : How many teasers to show? Enter number or word "All".
- Order By : Select how to sort retrieved posts. More at WordPress codex page
- Categories : Filter output by posts categories, enter category names here.
- Tags : Filter output by posts tags, enter tag names here.
- Taxonomies : Filter output by custom taxonomies categories, enter category names here.
- Individual Posts/Pages/Custom Post Types : Only entered posts/pages will be included in the output. Note: Works in conjunction with selected "Post types".
- Author : Filter by author name.
- RSS & Feed : With this option you can display RSS content of your website or other websites.After selecting this you can enter RSS/Feed source. you must enter RSS name and link like this pattern:

for eaxmple CNN | http://rss.cnn.com/rss/money_latest.rss
also select image for each RSS source.
- Manual Text : You can enter your text Like this pattern.
Text Link(http://www.sample.com) | Text Content | Image Link
Note: if you don't enter image Link you can set default image on "ticker setting" tab.
- Ticker Direction Mode : You can select 2 ticker directions.
- Horizontal
- Vertical: after choosing this option you can select "Vertical Items Layout" from 5 ready layouts.
- Ticker Height : You can enter ticker height by pixle. this will be used on horizontal mode only
- Enable Interval : if you select this option you can enter Interval time and your ticker get refresh ability on front-end.
Note : what's refresh interval?
This is useful for refresh ticker data content on a period time and is a awesome ability for website with huge post entery that can read new post automatically every X minutes.
- Enable RTL : For using ticker on RTL languages.
- Ticker Position : We have 3 ticker positions.
- Current Place : Put ticker on current place on page
- Fix Top : Put ticker on top of page as sticky
- Fix Bottom : Put ticker on bottom of page as sticky
- Show Ticker Title : If you select "Yes, Of course" you can select 3 option.
- Title Text: Text of ticker title. default is "Breaking News"
- Title Width
- Title Icon: Select title icon from icon list.
- Show Refresh Time Area : This is useful when you select "Enable Interval" that show last ticker refresh time.
- Show Toggle Button : A button to close and show ticker area.
- Show Post Image : After selecting this you can also choose image style- round or square - and default image for post with no feature image.
- Show Date : After select this also you can enter date format. More at WordPress codex page
- Show Sharing : Show post share icon on facebook, twitter & google plus
- Show Quick View : This option is useful for "Build Query" source ticker that show post content on popup after click on quick view icon. also you can select popup animation from 9 animation types.
3- Movement Option
In this section you can set ticker movement option as:
Ticker Move Effect: 3 moving effects are ready. Slide base on ticker mode(horizontal & vertical), Marquee(left, right, top & bottom) and fade effect.
Show Navigation : if you select slide or fade you can show/hide navigation button.
Autoplay Speed : speed of slide and fade autoplay by millisecond.
Pause Time : Pause of each slide by millisecond.
Marquee Direction : if you select marquee effect you can set one of directions(left, right, up & down).
Scroll Amount : speed of marquee. for more speed set more number.
Note : on slide effect you can also set number of dispalying Items and item per slide. this option just used on "vertical mode"
4- Styling
In this tab you can set style of your ticker such as fonts, colors and layouts. you can pass this section by using predefined preset on "Presets" tab.

Main Ticker Style: this option is contain ticker border, toggle background & toggle text.
Ticker Title Style: You can set title background color, title font options(font name, font size & font color) and title layout (from 8 pre-defined title layouts).
Clock Area Style: You can set clock background color & clock font options(font name, font size & font color).
Ticker Content Style: You can set content background color & content font options(font name, font size & font color & font hover color), meta font options(font name, font size & font color & font hover color), icon background and icon color.
Note: Meta fonts just show on vertical mode and when set show metas and show excerpt on ticker option tab.
Custom Class: You can define a custom class for your ticker and apply your style to that via your CSS files.
5- Presets
In this tab you can set all styles and option of ticker by one click on each pre-defined presets. our presets are ready on demo page of plugin and you can see them in action.
